Whither Art Forward Multimedia?
No, I didn’t get writer’s block in case you’re wondering. Notwithstanding the very dry dry-season this year it really started to pour for Forward Multimedia from the very first day of March and continues as we speak. I can’t complain though as I brought this upon myself for I configured my site to get found and it’s content to instill confidence. Heck, even my offline advertising got me a project- from my website sticker on the rear windshield of my car!
Anyway, I’m not writing this to gloat or impress, I wanted to drop a quick update as it’s been a while since my last article and now you know the reason. I have a slew of new sites (assuming that sites come in slews) in the pipeline so I’ll be updating my 2013 portfolio with maybe five or so very soon. I have many others in the works, 2 e-commerce Magento sites and a couple of other large sites that are going to be big deals nationally and some smaller ones in the mix as well. No matter the site size, all my clients get the same treatment and that’s the truth.
What else is going on
Apart from being busy with website work in general, the Forward Multimedia site has seen an uptick in daily visits so far for 2013 primarily as a result of Google searches. According to my site stats E-Commerce is a big draw and too my new partnership with First Atlantic Commerce for our local payment gateway so I’m getting more calls and emails about this. Many are still on the fence about the online store thing in T&T and understandably so as it requires a huge commitment for it to work. Honestly I’d sooner have clients just get solid business sites and work them but few do even that.
Checkout new E-Commerce Pricing Page
With my introduction of the Magento E-Commerce platform as an option for serious online stores, I’ve had to update my e-commerce pricing page to add it as a separate plan. This is due to its more technical nature to install and configure than the much simpler WordPress. While I was at it, I decided to separate the Big Commerce shopping cart option as a separate plan as well, making it the 3 distinct options that they really are.
Mid-Year report coming
I may squeeze out a new article before June, else I’ll post news updates like this one. If I do, it will most likely be one to close out my Starting an E-Commerce Website series and start a new one. I already have a title for it: “Don’t be afraid to start en E-Commerce website in T&T”.
I want to work on a nice mid-year report via Mail Chimp newsletter so I’d rather use the time on that. I have lots to talk about as a lot has been happening that will affect you. Talk to you soon.
