Cheap or Affordable Trinidad Website Design?
I was recently out-quoted by another website designer for a project which has prompted me to write this post. My classified ad in the Daily Express under Website Services has been attracting inquiries every day. Some people are serious and some are curious but I don’t try to weed out callers nor dismiss them. I genuinely make an attempt to determine their website needs and make the best recommendation I can.
It seems that some people are choosing cheap instead of optimal. I can provide a website that’s cheap, but that’s the problem- the website will look cheap and I wouldn’t want to stamp my brand such a website. If someone wants a cheap website then he’s missing the entire point of having one- that it’s your tireless salesperson championing your business online 24/7 without fail, speaking to everyone who pays a visit even while you are sleeping.
Forward Multimedia doesn’t just build websites and stop there. I am always thinking about the best way to promote them, how to drive traffic, how to improve search rankings and how to use Facebook as a key part of it. I do a lot of research on similar websites, both in Trinidad and out of it looking for features and inspiration to give my client’s site an edge. I invest a lot of time doing graphic work with Photoshop, creating logos, adjusting images and creating banners though my standard price doesn’t include such additional work.
If you are looking for a nice entry level website I don’t nickel and dime you for 5 pages for you’ll always get more. You get professional designs with great features but the absolute minimum cost of such a site is $1,799.00 TT plus domain, hosting and template ($165.00 US). So figure a maximum out of pocket cost of $2,900 TT to get you online.
Back to a competitor who out-quoted me- he was charging two thirds of what I quoted and my potential client (who had already verbally committed to me), chose him instead. Sure I felt a pinch, but I stand by my quality and value and that can’t be taken away.
